General Questions About the New Mechanism for Expatriate Employees Employment from Outside the Kingdom of Bahrain

1- 1- What is the mechanism for recruiting expatriate employees from outside the Kingdom of Bahrain?

The application will be processed immediately after paying the administrative and advertisement fees. The payment of the permit fees will be postponed for 21 days from the date of payment of the administrative and advertising fees.
The vacancy advertisement will be published in the local newspapers for 7 days, with a non-refundable advertisement fee of BHD 30 for each application.

If you applied for a new work permit for an expatriate employee residing in the Kingdom of Bahrain, then regular procedures will be applied.

2- As an employer do I need to advertise for the vacancy in newspapers or LMRA will?

For every new application you apply for the expatriate employee from abroad automatically, LMRA will announce the occupation as an available vacancy under the CR for 7 days.

3- How much is the cost of the advertisement and how will it be paid?

Advertising for each application will cost BHD 30 and will be added to the monthly invoice of the CR.

4- Can the employer request the vacancy for the applications submitted be advertised in a particular newspaper?

Yes, once he/she submits the application he/she will need to make an electronic ticket via the eSupport function on the Expat Management System (EMS) mentioning the application ID and the name of the Newspaper he/she wishes the advertisement to be announced in.

5- For applying several applications with the same occupation can LMRA announce it only in one advertisement?

No, for every new application submitted for an expatriate employee from abroad, an advertisement for a vacancy under the CR along with CR email address and contact number will be posted in the local newspapers for 7 days.

6- How do I apply for advertised vacancies?

All Announced vacancies will contain CR name, email and contact number. If you find a vacancy that suits your qualifications, you can send it to the email mentioned in that particular Advertisement.
