Renewal of a Manpower Supply Agency License
This service is provided after the licensee applies a request to the Labour Market Regulatory Authority to renew the manpower supply agency license no more than sixty days before its expiration, and the license is valid for one year.
Service Conditions
- The application is subject to the provisions, laws, regulations, bylaws, and decisions issued by the concerned executive authorities in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
- Payment of all fees due to LMRA.
- The license applicant, licensee or business owner should not breach any of the essential obligations imposed by the laws of regulating the labour market, regulations, by laws.
- There should be no evidence that the licensee has stopped practicing his/ her activity, closed it, or changed the location of the activity in violation of the provisions of the laws and decisions in force in this regard.
- Practicing the activity at the licensed headquarters stated in the license, independently and not related to any other activity.
- Managing the licensing activity by the applicant himself/ herself or appointing a Bahraini manager to manage it.
- Providing accommodation for the expatriate employees employed by the manpower supply agency, adequate in terms of number and gender, in accordance with the provisions of the law in this regard.
- Depositing an amount of BHD 200 for each work permit issued as an insurance to be paid to LMRA, in addition to the set fee of the work permit.
- Specifying the economic or vocational specialization for which he wishes to supply for, provided that this specialization is among the special activities and occupations determined by LMRA, without breaching the conditions for granting work permits or temporary work permits.
- Placing the license certificate in an evident place at the premises the activity is being practiced in as well as the place of expatriate employees.
- Notify the authority immediately when the data contained in the application is changed or updated, or immediately upon liquidation of its activity, declaration of bankruptcy, or cancellation of the commercial registration in the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MOIC).
- Enabling LMRA and its inspectors to enter the establishment premises or the residence designated for expatriate employees at any time.
- The licensee shall not employ or mediate a worker who falls under the category of children or who are not permitted to work in accordance with the legislations in force in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
- Recording and updating data and supply contract templates approved by LMRA on a continuous and regular basis in its database in accordance with the Authority’s regulations in force in this regard.
- Supply contracts to be documented in writing with the employers to which supplies are provided, ensuring that these contracts conform to the model approved by the LMRA and are specified by duration or by the task required to be accomplished. Additionally, a regular record regarding these contracts must be established.
- Establishing regular records concerning the labour supply operations conducted for employers.
- Establishing regular records concerning the details of workers who are supplied to work for the employer.
- Obtaining the required license to practice the occupation from the concerned authorities regarding the occupations of the workers that he has been authorized to employ if their occupations are among the occupations that are legally required to do so.
- The license expires at the end of its original or renewed term, and the licensee must submit a request for renewal using the same procedures followed and stipulated conditions no more than 60 days and no less than 30 days before the license expires.
