Work Permit Renewal (Commercial Sector) - Remote Service
This service will allow you to renew expatriate employees work permits for the commercial sector.
Service Conditions
- The applicant must be registered in the system as a responsible or authorized person in Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) on the establishment.
- Remote service will be provided for one expatriate employee only.
- The work permit for expatriate employee can be renewed while the employee is inside or outside the Kingdom of Bahrain. If the employee is outside the Kingdom of Bahrain, the permit must be valid.
- Permits can be renewed for 6 months, 1 year or 2 years as per the employer's request, with the payments of:
- BHD 50 for 6 months.
- BHD 100 for 1 year permit.
- BHD 200 for 2 years permit.
- Basic Health Care fees for work permit renewal is:
- BHD 36 for 6 months.
- BHD 72 for 1 year permit.
- BHD 144 for 2 years permit.
- In case of issuing dependents permits the fees are BHD 90 for renewal regardless of the primary expatriate employee's work permit period.
- The permit can be renewed 6 months prior to expiry date if the existing work permit was 1 year and 2 years.
- The permit can be renewed 5 months prior to expiry date if the existing permit was for 6 months.
- The expatriate employee passport must be valid for at least two months.

Process Description
- Visit the Virtual Service Centre and choose the suitable date at your convenience.
- Fill in the Permit/ Service Application Form PDF (1.39 MB) and get it signed by Employer/Responsible/Authorized persons, prior to your appointment the form should be sent to: Remote Services (Remoteservices.cs@lmra.gov.bh).

- Before sending the form to the mentioned email address make sure to fill the required fields in the form and the form should be in JPEG format not exceeding 200 KB.
- Service will be provided only for the Employer/Responsible/Authorized persons.
Fees
- Service fee:
- Six months: BHD 86.
- One year: BHD 172.
- Two years: BHD 344.
- Admin fee: BHD 5.
