Change of Occupation of Work Approval for Dependants
Through this service, employers can apply for changing the occupation of the expatriate employee in the work approval for dependants and they can keep their family permits at the same time.
Service Conditions
- For occupations that require specialization (medical occupations, educational occupations, and engineers), the applicant must submit the approval from the concerned entity.
- The work permit must be valid.

Process Description
Physical Location
- Download and fill out the Permit/ Service Application Form PDF (1.39 MB).
- Submit the application form along with the required documents at the Client's Services counters.
- Once the the change occupation of the work approval for dependants application is submitted, the application will be transferred for verification.
- You can check the application status (whether it has been approved or rejected) by:
- Logging on to the Expat Management System (EMS).
- Calling LMRA’s call centre on +973 17506055.
- If the application is approved, the fees will be added to the establishment’s monthly invoice and must be paid electronically via the Expat Management System (EMS) or by visiting one of the accredited banks.

- Click here to login to the LMRA Expat Management System (EMS) and start the process of applying for change occupation for the work approval for dependants. Click on the
Work Approval for Dependants
folder, and then click onChange Occupation for Work Approval
. Enter the required data in the designated fields and upload a copy from the new contract in JPEG format (Does not exceed 150 KB). - Once the the change of occupation of the work approval for dependants application is submitted, the application will automatically be transferred for verification.
