Requirements to Apply for Work Permits if CR Branches are Merged or Activities have Changed
Through this service, employers can request for work permits in case of merging CRs branches and/ or changing the activities.

Process Description
- Apply for work permits ceiling increase request through the Expatriate Management System (EMS). Should you wish to submit more evidence, please visit Client Services Counter at LMRA headquarters.
- For work permits requiring more than 6 or 10 based on the establishment activities (Establishments under the Bahrainization zone), submit Workload/ Ceiling Form PDF (1.66 MB) available in the Required Documents section at LMRA website or Client Services Counter at LMRA, first floor.
- Submit Workload/ Ceiling Form PDF (1.66 MB) supported with the required documents by visiting Client Services Counter at LMRA headquarters - first floor or via the eSupport function on the Expatriate Management System (EMS).
Processing Time
- For Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs): 3 Working Days.
- For Large Enterprises: 10 Working Days.
